AHAHA, I WROTE CHAT FIC ABOUT BANDOM DOGS PLOTTING THINGS. WHAT.
IDEK, YOU GUYS.
So, I'm innocently talking to Liz about how cute Patrick's dog is, and suddenly, for reasons I do not understand, this happens:
bluejbird: i suddenly want to write fic where hemmy and penny become friends and they talk and learn about how their dads are totally hot for each other and so they conspire to get them together

he's like...yeah i can't figure out who my dad likes
bluejbird: omg yyyyy
so, one day patrick goes to visit pete. and he brings penny. and penny runs straight over to hemmy and is all 'hi! hi hemmy! hi! hi! hi!' (cos im convinced she has the personality of brendon urie, apparently) and hemmy is all 'omg, leave me alone. SLEEPING' but penny is having none of it and she crawls all over him, sits on his head, w/e. and when hemmy finally gets up she's all 'IVE GOT A SECRET'
and so hemmy is of course very inquisitive, and wants to know penny's secret, but she keeps running away, and its not until he's chased her for almost an hour and he's collapsed, panting, on a nice shady patch of grass outside, that she comes over and snuggles against him and goes 'my dad is in love with your dad'
and hemmy's ears perk up. and he's all 'no shit. cos my dad's in love with your dad'
and then hemmy goes 'you know what we shoudl do? we shoudl get them together and they can get married and then we'd be brother and sister'
and like, penny is happy at this, but also sad, cos she totally intended on marrying hemmy one day, and she's pretty sure siblings cant do that sort of thing unless they're members of the Way family
so, like, they somehow make sure pete and patrick spend loads of time together. one day penny even goes into hiding in petes big house so that they'll have to stay til its too late to head home. and she feels bad, cos her dad totally freaked out and was almost in tears by the time she came slinking out of her hidey hole, but it meant they got to stay, and hemmy very helpfully pee'd on every bed except pete's, so they all had to sleep in there
and eventually, some how pete and patrick get together, and penny and hemmy are overjoyed, and although there is no wedding, penny and patrick do move into pete and hemmy's house, and penny gets to sleep each night pressed against hemmy's side where they're curled up on the end of pete and patricks bed
and they live happily ever after
until the day hobo comes to visit
because one day there is a strange man dressed like a hippie cowboy in the house. and he has a shoulder bag, and as penny is sniffing at it, trying to figure out what the strange new scent is, hobo pops his head out of the top and barks at her
penny doesn't like hobo. she's not even sure if hobo is a boy or a girl, which is very confusing. and worst of all, hobo loves hemmy. and hemmy loves hobo. and they spend hours and hours playing together
it makes penny sad, and so she just sits with her head on her paws and watches them play. and when hobo nips playfully at hemmy's mouth and runs off, making him chase hobo and they end up rolling over and over in a happy tangle of legs, penny slinks off and systematically tears all of hemmy's favourite toys to shreds
later, when the strange man has taken hobo away, and pete has cleaned up hemmy's destroyed toys, without asking any questions, (even though penny knows he knows it was her, and maybe even knows why, judging by the sympathetic pat on the head and 'i've been there, kid' that he whispers in her ear) hemmy corners penny and tries to talk
she does her best to ignore him, but the thing with hemmy is that as laid back as he is, when he gets riled, he really gets mad and its a bit scary, so penny listens. and hemmy tells her that he loves hobo, but just as a friend. and that hobo has a special friend already, called dylan, and then hemmy has to explain that sometimes dogs love other dogs, but sometimes they love cats too, and that there's is a forbidden love, but oh so beautiful. and penny has heard pete talk of forbidden love enough to hope hobo and dylan can make it work, somehow, despite all the prejudices against them.
and then hobo tells penny that he loves her the best, and that he wants to spend every day playing with her, if she'll have him, and penny gets all excited and throws herself on top of hemmy and licks his face until hemmy is rolling about, laughing, trying to get her off of him. and then hemmy reassures her that they're not really brother and sister so it's totally okay, and that their dads would still love them anyways, even if it wasn't. and they decide to tell their dads that night.
so, right before bed, they snuggle close together and penny presses her nose against hemmy's and barks happily. and patrick nudges pete and goes 'look, they're in love' and pete rolls his eyes and goes 'duh, as if we didn't know already' and hemmy and penny retire to their shared dogbed for the night, under the pretence of giving their dads some privacy.

In other news, LOL at awesome yet hilarious plot holes in SGA, \o/ for reappearances of old characters I so love, and RODNEY IS STILL MY FAVOURITE. BUT OMG JOHN AT THE END. LOLOLOLOL.
