Sunday is always a lazy do whatever I feel like doing day. So i installed a new keyboard that all the letters work on (aaaaaaaahhh!) and I made a poster for my computer help biz and i made some bread and I dug up some artichokes.
I've got this gig today. It's for an awards banquet downtown in a restaurant. I'm having blurry thoughts about it. Hope the speeches don't grind on me too bad. I wished I could have practiced more but my left pinky is acting up seriously again. It's really weird when you're not able to completely throw yourself into the thing you're best at. It's like unfair. Oh well...like the song on Malcom in the Middle.
It's funny how when people get famous for some talent or something then they get overwhelmed by their fame and think they're on some kind of big mission. Take Oprah for instance: a person with a knack for communicating. She's become rediculously wealthy, must have a hard time having a normal relationship, probly has to protect herself constantly. She's been looking kind of hard around the edges lately. Getting publicly upset about being called for jury duty, giving away cars like that's going to solve some world problem. Who is the real Oprah? The one who has to get up too early in the morning sometimes? Sorry if you love Oprah. I've probably offended you and I hate doing that. I just wish we'd hear more about people like
Gypsy Boots and
Steve Gaskin and
Sidney Bechet and
Al Lewis. I'm tired of Oprah. Sorry.
