Updateness
Ok, so it's been forever since I've posted anything of even remote value here as far as what's going on with me, so here goes... (List style inspired by Becky's post)
1. New job = awesome. I get to be a real engineer (shocking yet very nice considering my last job). Also, perks are good.
-In January I put on my evaluation that I'd like to work towards being a PSE (Primary Systems Engineer - basically the lead engineer on a project). A few weeks later, I became PSE for Detroit Edison's River Rouge power plant. Careful what you wish for, eh? ; )
-Made friends with sole other new female engineer (there's 2 others as well). Will be attending her wedding this Saturday.
2. New car = nice. While I miss my poor Grand Marquis and its tape deck, I'm definitely liking my new car. Only things I'm not *as thrilled* about are the color, 5 seats instead of 6, and no tape deck. But, at 0% APR, hard to go wrong.
3. Saw the band 1988 at Player's Club Lounge at Lost Nation (former airport). Mmm, 80's hair band music.
4. For any Star Trek simming fans...got tired of putting up with things in OF, so decided to start my own. (I know most people won't really care, so I'll stop there and spare you)
5. Saw 'A Pirates Life For Me' at the Beck Center in Lakewood on Saturday. Definitely amusing, though since I took dance lessons for 8 years, I wasn't impressed with the singing or dancing (admittedly it was an amateur group).
Hmm, I guess those are the main and/or recent things. Been playing Lego Star Wars & Lego Star Wars II (II is better) since Tony got them. They're pretty fun. Also got the puter game 'The Movies' which is kinda cool. Similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon in some respects.
Inspired by Charlie's taking a pottery class, I'm considering looking into finding something similar...pottery or maybe taking up dance again or something.
Other than that, not much going on... Hoping to get to see some people over the summer, though dunno when that would work out.
Anyway, that's the brief update...I'll try to keep up a little better.
