Well, I had a nice long convo with Darcy last night which was very awesome. I haven't talked to her in awhile, so it was nice to get to. Of course, knowing the two of us, the conversation got fairly random at times. (Suggestions on what to say so it looks like someone has a boyfriend to avoid stalkers, 80's rock lyrics with 'Angel' in them, etc.).
Then there was, of course, some of the shocking revelations, well, 'shocking' revelations of who was engaged/married. Some of them I knew were engaged, but had no idea they were already married, others I hadn't realized were engaged or married. Always fun getting updated. Then again, with all the engagements/marriages I already know about, it really doesn't surprise me much anymore when I hear someone else has joined that group. I did, however, let Darcy know that for future reference, she or Becky are not allowed to get married without telling me. (That also applies to some others, like Andi, etc. but I've not heard from her in a good while to begin with).
Aaanyway, I was a tad surprised that Brad, Pete, etc. still ask about me at times. They were always friendly to me and didn't mind when Becky, Darcy, and I invaded their living space, which was cool. Being away from Y-town, I don't see them anymore and haven't heard from them in probably at least a year or two. Understandable though, due to the failed relationship I attempted with one of their friends, the fact that I don't live near there anymore, etc. The Ursuline bunch was always an intriguing bunch. Wouldn't mind hanging out with them again sometime. Hmm...perhaps a shin-dig at my apartment. Least it would get some people there, if they were available. Nice to be thought of. :)
I should probably call some of my college-y friends to keep in touch. However, being the slightly paranoid, over-courteous person I am, I don't want to intrude/bother them by calling. Most of their schedules are hectic at best (least on some days), and I wouldn't want to disturb them while they're in class, working on papers/homework/projects, or out having fun with some of their friends at Grad School. I'm thinking I'll get over this soon enough, and there is always IM/e-mail.
So I had this lovely surprise at work today. Yesterday I was getting worried, as the Fire Protection drawings for a job I'm working on had seemingly disappeared. After thinking for a little while and doing some searching, I realized how I could potentially find them. Long story short, I did find what I was looking for. I need the drawings from one part of the job to base another part of the job off of. Today, I went in to work on the other part of the job only to find that I'd already done it! Yay me! If I'm really lucky, maybe I'll have done the same with the other couple of sections....prolly not, but I can hope.
