Ah yes, the big going to Boardman day...
After dragging ourselves out of bed and showering, Tony and I headed to Caffe Capri. For christmas I'd gotten a gift card for Caffe Capri and I figured this'd be a good time to use it. Tony got lasagna (a fav of his), and I got my fettucini alfredo. Oh, and we got bread - nummy bread. Okay, technically two baskets of bread. lol
After lunch, we headed to Walgreen's so Tony could get his pictures developed. Since they wouldn't be ready for an hour anyway, we decided to go to Best Buy to try to find me a new keyboard/mouse (a tab on the space bar broke off and it wasn't working right). WAY much expensive...so we moved on. We tried seeing if Sportsworld was open yet so we could play miniature golf. It wasn't. We therefore headed to Kmart to continue the search for a keyboard/optical mouse. Found a set for $20, though the mouse isn't very impressive. Too square for my taste (and I've now found that it doesn't work quite right at times).
In anycase, we headed back to Walgreens to pick up the pictures and glanced through them. They'd turned out rather well. I think he had 5 rolls... I would've developed my film, but I still had pictures left.
Since Tony wanted to play some arcade games, we went to Jillian's. I didn't realize there were games you could play for tickets and get prizes. Not that the prizes are worth what you'd have to spend to get them, but still. Mainly played Skee Ball, basketball, one where you have to hit the button when the counter gets to 1000, and another where you had to try to press a button when the light came around between two things. The counting to 1000 game was the most profitable. In the end, we had about 450 tickets (I believe). Tony got a stuffed Kermit for me and a koosh ball for himself.
After that, we went to Camelot Lanes for some bowling. The website said there were reduced prices on thursdays after 6, but apparently the website lied. In either case, we got a lane for an hour. Tony definitely beat me every time, even with his bad toe. I apparently need to brush up on my bowling skillz.
We were hungry by this point, so we decided to go to Applebee's. I've not been there in a long time. I think a girl I went to high school with was there, though I couldn't quite tell. Anyway, good food... Unfortunately didn't get my triple chocolate meltdown since I was pretty full and Tony and I had a different idea.
Since I didn't think any grocery stores in Columbiana would be open by the time we got back there, we went to *gasp* Giant Eagle and were 'robbed' of $6 for a half gallon of vanilla ice cream. (cripes sakes, I coulda gotten a gallon for less than that!) Tony also worked on the machine in Giant Eagle (the one with stuffed animals - he's rather good with it) and got me a frog, which he then named 'Freddy'.
Once we got back, I made us mint oreo milkshakes. Mmmmmmmmm, nummy! We watched Jurassic Park (and possibly one other movie...I forget). I think Tony liked it.
