I just got back from one of the best vacations of my life. It really wasn't a big huge vacation seeing that it was spent in Chicago and Wisconsin. What made the trip special was being able to spend it with Justin. While in Chicago we stayed at my sister's place and it was fun being able to swim and hang out with her and David. We all went off to The Taste on Wednesday and had a great time eating tons of yummy foods. Thursday Justin and I went to the museum of science and industry and had a blast. We went to see the monster truck exhibit, the coal mine, this new exhibit on the internet, and we shared a cookies and cream sunday at the old fashioned ice cream shop. Later on we met up with my family and went back to the taste then headed off for a bit of site seeing on the Mag Mile. We then teamed up with selena and david to head out for dinner at my favorite Mexican place then met back up with my family at Navy Pier for the firework show. It was a crazy day but well worth it. On the morning of the forth Selena, David, Justin, and I went for a morning swim. Then Justin and I headed off to Wisconsin to visit his family and have dinner at his brother's place. This was the first time I met his family and I was more than scared. But in the end everything was fine and I really liked his family a lot. We then went out with Justin's best friend Chris for the firework show in Racine. It was a really good show, a lot better than I had expected. After that we went over to Chris' place (that's where we would be staying) and hung out with a bunch of his friends. Saturday was Justin's turn to show me around and we went all over the place. We went to see his old neighborhood and the Lake. Oh and we saw two movies. In the afternoon we went to see Finding Nemo and then later at night we went to see T3. Both were great movies. Someplace in there we had dinner at a restaurant on the lake and went back to his brother's for another visit and a dip in their hot tub. Sunday was our last day together. We had lunch at his brother's and played with his nephew Payton. The drive back to chicago was not so fun. We got caught in the worst part of a thunderstorm and couldn't see more than a few feet in front of us. It should have only taken us an hour to get to my place but it took almost two and a half.
All in all it was a great week and I wish it didn't have to end but soon school will start up again and the four hours between Justin and I will be reduced to 10 minutes.
