i just finished reading an article
"The effect of hyaluronic acid on insulin secretion in HIT-T15 cells through the enchancement of gap-junctional intercellular communications" by Yuping Li, Tsutomu Nagira, and Toshie Tsuchiya, researchers of the NIH of Japan.
i'll spare you the details since only a couple of you might understand, but it's about growing a pancreas outside the body and transplanting it. they're not at that stage yet, of course, but they tested certain things on a cell line and it gives so much hope.
