Birthday goodies
My sister and brother-in-law just gave me my birthday present. A copy of the Ultimate X-Men book (squee!), two GI Joe comics from 1983 and 1984 and two Transformers comics from 1986. The comics were buried at his mom's house. Other than the cat hair and the musty smell, they're in pretty good shape. I have no idea the value, if any, but I'm certainly going to find out. My grandparents sent my annual Very Generous birthday check, which is headed right into my saving account. I also recieved cash from other reletives, which is fine because that's all I really wanted this year. I have a big road trip planned for this fall and need to finance it somehow. ;)
Yesterday we all went to the Trump casino boat out in Indiana. I took about $200 with me, and lost it all over the eight hours we were there. It was a lot of fun, though. Didn't do nearly as well at craps as the last time I played, but it was still fun. The slots were being miserly with me, but that was fine. I was having too good of a time to really care. Afterwards my sis and bro-in-law, one of their freinds and I went to dinner - free for me yay! - and just hung out and talked. It was very nice, and really the first time that my sis and I have done that. I enjoyed it very much.
All in all, a very good birthday.
