Love that new book smell

Mar 11, 2006 13:38

I went a little crazy at Borders this afternoon and bought nine books.

But it's okay because I had a $50 gift card, so I only had to pay $29.53 in cash. I think $79.53 is the most I've ever spent in a bookstore EVER. I think nine books is the most books I've ever bought at one time, too.

Plus, because I earned fifty points in one month (well over fifty, actually) I get a 10% off shopping day sometime in April. Woo! Just in time for my birthday!

My haul:
Size 12 Is Not Fat - Meg Cabot (which was really free because it was on the "Buy Two Get One Free" table)
Dead Witch Walking - Kim Harrison
The Colorado Kid - Stephen King
Lady Chatterly's Lover - D.H. Lawrence
Coyote Blue and Lamb - Christopher Moore (the two I bought to get one free)
The Cabinet of Curiosities - Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child
Keeper - Greg Rucka
Endymion - Dan Simmons

I had a 30 Days Of Night novel in my basket (I had a basket!!) but ended up putting it back in favor of the Christopher Moore books and the Meg Cabot.

And yesterday at Sam's club (my parents re-joined) I bought Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein and The Delilah Complex by M.J. Rose. I think I'm set for books for the next few months.

Now I need to finish my laundry, start my seeds, and for God's sake GET A FUCKING POST UP.
