Poor, poor Elvira. She was a good computer.
I've been without my laptop for about three weeks now. Some kind of file corruption or something; she wouldn't even turn on. Well, she'd turn on, but with some kind of error message and would go no further. So I (eventually, about a week later) took her into the Geek Squad to get looked at. Two weeks later they tell me her motherboard is shot and there's no hope. They did manage to back-up everything on my computer (including my boy-on-boy porn! and my bookmarks! yay!) onto a disc, and they refunded me part of what they charged be because they couldn't actually fix her.
Poor Elvira. She will be missed.
And now I have a shiny new computer.
This computer. Faster. Sleeker. Sexier. Ooohhh. Aaahhh. When I got it home and turned it on, my mom was all disappointed that it didn't moo, lol. Which lead me to thinking if I could actually get it to do that. ;P
So I just spent about three hours uploading what was recovered from Elvira to my new computer. Which has a masculine vibe to it. I'm thinking George.
I don't have an internet connection on it yet, because our wireless set-up is password protected and I have no idea what the password is. It just automatically came up. My mom and dad bought a new tower for the desktop and the guy is coming out Wednesday morning to set it up and everything, so maybe (hopefully) he'll set up my wireles connection, too.
