No. You're not going to keep using that as an excuse on me. And I think you can do just fine spending the holiday without me if you're going to be that way. You don't want to tell me what's going on, then I guess that means you just don't trust me enough for whatever reason. So if that's the case, I'll just stay out of your way and you can go and do whatever it is you need to do. You'll even have extra time for it if I'm not present to hassle you about it.

And you'd rather leave me not knowing and feeling useless instead of explaining things to me...and still run the risk that I'll still end up arresting you somewhere down the line if what you're doing is really that wrong. Only difference between the two is that I'll be highly surprised when I arrest you and more upset that I couldn't do anything to even help you.

The royal guard doesn't make the laws, Sae. That's the King's parliament. We're just the ones who keep the peace and enforce the laws for them.

And you think they'll listen to me instead? Sae, how many times have I said that they don't even like me being here and that I should just go back to the little backwards town we came from? I have no more sway over things than you do and you need to stop looking at me like I'm blessed or whatever it is you keep thinking just because I've got the title of noble. I'm just a simple guard here. All I can do in protect people. And for me, that's just fine. I just wish *some* people would let me protect them.
