it's so good for my mind to get out of the city. seems like i only really remember that i have a soul when i venture out into the woods or the beach or on adventures of any kind, but especially outside of the cities and in natural environments. ever heard that song "horse with no name" by America? i feel kind of like that. that song was a metaphor for me on a good acid trip one time, but i remembered that song last night cause it rings true.
but yeah, April & I went camping in Huntsville State Park last night/today. I had such a great time. we definitely need to do this more often, and next time we should bring a bunch of people along.
we left, ate at Crackerbarrel, we got there and set up our tent, went and got some smirnoff and couldn't get firewood, but our neighbors brought us some of theirs and helped us out w/ some already burning ones & some charcoal fluid, hehe. i went crazy gatherin up pine needles for the fire.
it was so peaceful, sitting in our chairs by the fire, looking up at the sky and being hypnotized by the crickets. enjoying the sanity of a forest.
lots of laughs & sweet moments....and goofy-ness.
today we woke up, ate subway sandwiches by the sam houston statue, went out & got April her mandatory coffee :), and went back to the campsite. i had so much fun just being out on the dock by the lake, and accompanying the fairy as she chased fat squirrels with a camera.
I love road trips w/ April. I'm gonna miss sleeping all cuddled up to her (until next time i get to). that's it for now.
