Haunch of Hero
Thigh of Thracian Hero, roasted and served with onions, seasoned liberally with tragic irony and smothered in the bitterness of glory lost.
Ingredients:
I Thigh of Hero (pork roast will suffice in case Grecian hero is out of season).
1 Decanter of Pure Tragic Irony, congealed (DO NOT substitute with Dramatic Irony which will invariably cause the roast to come out over-done. A small bag of cranberries will suffice in a pinch)
Granulated Bitterness of Glory Lost (Annis seed will do here in case you've lost your Bitterness of Glory Lost)
1 red onion
Hickory BBQ sauce
Cut haunch in two along horizontal length. Smother upfacing layer liberally with BBQ sauce and place 1/2 diced onion on bbq sauce layer. Smash Cranberries into chunky paste and lay thick over onions. Season liberally with Anise seed. Add additional layer of BBQ sauce. Add second half of pork roast on top of first and repeat. Add water to bottom of pan to ensure a moist pulled pork result.
Note: Use pigs blood from roast to annoint your doorways to keep Jahweh out during the following months.
