Yay! I just finished hand-sewing cuffs on a pair of pants I bought at the end of last summer (at least I think that's when I bought them). The fact that they were out of season allowed me to procrastinate hemming them for several months, but no more! It's warm, they're nice pants, they fit really well--time to sew. So I sewed.
This little project also gave me the chance to watch Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story." Boy oh boy do I have a thing for unions, organizers, social reformers, and other sundry folk serving as the thorn in the side to American greed. I teared up a few times during the film and even shouted a "hell yes, Dennis!" when Kucinich ranted against the bailout. So why, WHY am I hemming these pants for my financial industry job?!? To pay off the bank that owns my student loan. *facepalm* It would only be more poetic if I worked for the the loan holder itself, Citibank.
Eye on the prize: financial freedom, fulfilling job, ability to make dream-based decisions again.
