Dig if you will the picture: Monday morning. One of our tech guys comes back from a week-long vacation only to find he's been laid off. True story. His last day is Friday, but damn, that's low. I wonder if he'll spend the week developing a server-melting virus or some such. Wouldn't blame him.
Meanwhile, I took a practice test this weekend in anticipation of my real licensing exam on Friday and discovered I am still made of fail. I bumped the date to Sept. 1st. Two more weeks of agony. Awesome. The only silver lining is that I can't go out on the weekends and spend money I don't have. Ok, ok, the silver lining is that I'm gaining vast, financial knowledge that might one day be used in amazing, subversive ways, bringing capitalism to its knees. Wait. Too late! Maybe I'll just better diversify my 401(k), like a good little drone.
