Last night G (the friendly tornado from my last post will henceforth be "G") and I watched the Perseids meteor shower from a blanket in a darkened park in New Jersey. Despite the quaint remoteness of the area, city light seeped into our vision and speckled the view. Still, I saw three to five meteors and he saw at least seven. It was pretty spectacular. Incredibly romantic too.
This was in conjunction with food, of course--Thai for dinner and NJ diner pie (oh lovely, lovely diner pie) for dessert. We drew silly pictures of each other in crayon on our paper diner place mats. One the drive home we played music, shared secrets, and made loose plans to pick apples and make a pie. Dating G is already so much fun and adventure. I can't wait to see him again.
