Generally I'm pretty A-ok with my current internship. The office tends to be quiet and the curator loves my research but doesn't need to know every little thing I'm doing (I hate hand-holding shit). Today, however, I realized *why* it's been quiet: one of the long-standing volunteers has been out on jury duty. Well, she's back and she fucking talks to herself. A lot. Loudly. God, I could just kick her in the friggin' crazy head-- mindless noise just pisses me off, especially when it's coming from a person. I'm clearly not the only one who thinks she's nuts/annoying, because the curator's assistant gets this *tone* when she talks to her. It's the kind of tone you'd take with someone when you're past pity and moving right along into measured rage. And to think, this wing-ding sat on a jury recently...
