same old same old
cassies sat- pretty fun. for most of the people there....
this week has been going pretty well, havent been too overwhelmed with anything. been doing better in spanish, i think its just i cant cope with not using the book. messes with my brain. now that we're back to solid vocabulary and workbook pages, i feel better. more comfortable. maybe thats bad. hmmmm maybe i have gotten so used to the same spanish routine that im scared to step out of that, and then i do badly. interesting.
funny thing: i went to delongs class a grand total of ONE TIME last week. thought that was quite humorous.
steve and i decided that we want out maniken to be jacked. hes gonna be a buff half of a skeleton. o yeah.
finally know my lines for play. still doesnt seem like a play tho. no sense of order or anything. hopefully itll be good and we'll have fun :) yay cast parties (hehehe theyll be fun this time. hahah right ali? ::wink wink::)
getting nervous for states. coming up soon. FrIdAy seems way too soon. hopefully ill do well tho. kinda sad being the last year tho. after this, ill be in a totally different environment and it wont be the same. everyone there will be serious swimmers and theyll all be fast. see, im used to always being on relays etc, and feeling i could hold my own with everything. after i go to college.... nope. kinda scared about that. but itll be good. sometimes you need change to keep you moving.
i was thinking today. as weird as this sounds, there are certain smells that just make me happy, safe, calm, and just are normal smells that make me think of home and happiness. weird i know.
-johnson & johnson lavendar and chamomile body wash (LOVE IT)
-my moms perfume that she wears everyday (kinda like a stability, homey feeling- makes me feel safe)
-the ocean (calm and free)
-rain (fresh)
-chlorine (c'mon im a swimmer. it just is always present and it makes everything seem like its ok and things are going smoothly)
-fall (yes, fall has a scent)
-sunscreen (ooo carefree-ness and vacations and beach reunions)
-the way a certain person smells (ali- you said it too!!!)
i WAS baking a cake but then my dad yelled at me cuz he was on the phone so i had to stop mixing. o well. kinda tired tho cuz we have 5:30 a.m. practice. but it was ok.
ive been listening to a lot of laguna beach music. i really like it. haha ali - just the music, not the show, sorry.
