Back from London, and waging war

Jul 03, 2005 10:33

So I finally got back from London, more on that later, and I bought presents for everyone (even Jess, although how I'm supposed to get it to her I have no idea). Now I'm back in Dairy Queen mode, which basically means that I serve lots of ungrateful and petty people icecream while they and my extended family members (aunt and cousin) take out their troubles on me. So basically... I get bitchy fairly eaisly (as you could probably tell from the tone of this entry). Plus it's at least 110 every day. But at least I'm almost moved back into my room, and all my friends here are coming home soon, plus I'm going to San Diego in a week to visit everyone (13th and 14th of July), and I get my magnificent view of the mountains from my bedroom window back, and my garden, and my puppies, and all the books that I left here (5 more boxes...) and I get to read my father's and my brothers' collections as well.... so life isn't that bad.

But as for the waging war, I've decided that I weigh to much. It doesn't matter who I talk to, my doctor, a nutrionist, all of them say I could stand to lose at least 10 pounds. So, I've given up everything but salads (including meat) and have started working out for an hour every morning. So far it seems to be working, I lost two pounds in two days. But now I have to work in 4 and a half hours, and I still need to go do some errands, so I'll cut this to a close. Ciao!
