That's right, I said it. Today I picked up the new Brand New album, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, something I've been expecting to do on and off for the past year and a half or so, and my first thought was exactly the title of this entry. The Dem takeover: I'm actually concerned now. As you may very well know, Hollywood and the RIAA sleep with Dems. Right now, more copyright-restrictive laws are being written as bills as we speak. This is not a good sign...for anyone. The only time copyright restrictions have any benefit is with books, though they are already keen on that simply due to plagiarism laws, and to copy in the writing world is less a matter of stealing and more a matter of stupidity and complete dishonor. Dead in the Water: All I have to say is, you may want to back out of having American cars for a while (wasn't your prior car before this American, too?). The only car I can think of that has a certain shark-like quality is the Hyundai Tiburon, which is styled like, and named after, a shark. However, it's a coupe, soooo...it may not work out. Trying to think of a sedan/wagon that might have that quality...late 90's Volvo wagons? Hyundai Elantra/Sonata? Mazda 323 mid-90's? (I know it hurts, but I'm trying to cleanse the wound your ego has received from that and my recent snipes, which I do apologise for)
As for music...I dunno. Picked up the new Hold Steady CD today. Won't listen till I head back tomorrow, however. As for music in total, can't say much. Though last Thursday, I went to see Jamie Lidell, and it nearly floored me in the same manner last year's Broken Social Scene concert did. If he ever appears in Providence, take the time to SEE HIM!
