(no subject)
*cleans off the dust* Yeah. I'm updating. I have SO much to talk about and so time to do it in. Everything has been like a whirlwind around here but I finally got some time to myself (and with my man...set to explain later in this update) and got some time off as well.
My parents came into town on Saturday (the 19th) and they just left yesterday (the 24th) and it was a really good visit. They took Scotty overnight on Sunday. Which was awesome to have a night out with my man. We went bar hopping!! OMG can you imagine Blue bar hopping??!!? NOOO!!! We had a good time though. I didn't drink too much ;) But the most amazing thing about it was
the fact that my man arranged to have an upscale hotel (It's called the Charleston Place and let's just say this...they have a fountain out front that is bigger than my my house!) and thanks to his connections we stayed there
for 1/8th of the cost!!!! It was so wonderful!! When we got to the hotel(before we went out to put our stuff in the room) there is a silver bucket with champagne, 2 glasses and a plate of different specially made chocolates next to it!! We are talking chocolate covered strawberries, truffles, and a huge shell shaped chocolate in the center. I was so spoiled. :) So we had a really good time. I met a lot of Phil's friends that night too. Some which happen to be the local ECHL hockey team. :) Very nice!!
Ok back to the everything else...I picked my Mom up from the base every day this week because the whole point of their visit was because my Dad had business conferences to attend to. So she was left alone with my brother so I took the week off to spend time with them. I took Scotty out of school too so that we both could. It's Kindergarten!! And he's one of the smartest in the class and if the only thing he misses out on for this is an attendance award.........SO BE IT!! Family is most important to me.
So that was basically my week for the most part but on Thursday I decided to
do dinner for everyone including Phil's parents. That is EIGHT people total. Now remind you I am used to having that many people come to dinner because I am the oldest of six kids. But when they are future in laws and your parents....it's a little nerve racking.
