Well the last few weeks I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Yanno I've never really liked that saying. But hey who cares right now.
Anywho, last week (as we all know) Scotty's teacher was absent. ALL WEEK. And they had the teacher assistant as well as a few subs teaching the class. And at a very sub par level I might add. Scotty and most of the other kids acted out all week. And rightfully so, they were used to having their teacher there.
Well the first day of having a sub at the school, everything went ok. BUT when I went to pick up Scotty that day all of the "car riders" came out with the teacher........except Scotty. I was trying to remain calm and I immediately approached the teacher and said "Um where is my son?" I kid you not she looked at me and said "Who is your son?" So I told her his name and she still said "Who?" I about knocked her on her ass! lol Imagine little Blue trying to kick some tail? lol Phil doesn't call me 5 feet of fury for nothing!!
Anyways, I run into the school searching for my child with teacher in tow and she still has no clue as to which kid I am talking about! As I go by the cafeteria I see that the after school program has started and then I notice that one of the little heads sitting down at one of the tables looks very familiar. I walk in and Scotty is snacking on a chicken sandwich that they give to the kids who are at the extended day program. Kids who aren't immediately picked up by their parents basically. They call it "Extended Day."
I run over to him and say "Baby why are you in here?? Mommy was so worried about you!!" The teacher is no where to be found. I am PISSED beyond belief at the whole situation but relieved that Scotty was found! No thanks to that stupid teacher.
So when we get home I explain that Mommy needs to know where he is at all times so that I know he is safe and so I won't worry. He then says the cutest thing "Mommy I just wanted to try something new for you and surprise you!" I always tell him that he needs to try something before he says he doesn't want to do it. Me and my big mouth? lol
The next day I go to pick him up from school and see him trot out with the others and he walks up to me and whispers in my ear "See Mommy no extended day!"
You're lucky you're so cute kid.
