HOLY FUCKING SHIT this has been an AWESOME weekend!!
Yesterday Karen and I saw Brian Regan. We hopped the metro and headed toward the Warner Theater. Everyone there was so cool. All telling Regan jokes. The opening act was pretty good. Then Brian Regan came out. Karen and I kept freaking out that we were seeing him live. We have loved his stuff for a long time. It was great. The act was all new material. Good stuff. Then the crowd kept shouting bits that they loved and he did them as the encore. He was flattered that everyone knew his stuff. "It's great you guys know all of these.. I heard that I have a cd out that I didn't know about." Haha. Someone taped him on tv and then put it online, then people kept sharing online and burning cds, now the entire country knows his work by heart. It was so rad. I love Brian Regan and you should too. Best comedian ever. I'm glad I got to go with Karen. I don't think I would go with anyone else:)
Today I took forever to match a number of outfits I could wear tonight to see Gwen Stefani Live :-D
Chrissy came over and helped me decide. She dressed up for me. We looked hot. Chrissy came with flowers. How adorable is that. We took some pics and then headed for the Patriot Center. Traffic sucked, we walked in as the Black Eyed Peas were playing. Apparently Chrissy really lies them which is strange news to me. We found our seats and immediately broke out the moves. There was only less than a foot of space before you'd fall off the edge of the earth, but I just kicked off m heals and we went nuts. People were starring. It was great.
Chrissy tried to send me a message via cell phone that posted your message on the big screen. But they never showed hers. Jerks.
I bought a cute tee shirt
Then GWEN went on. The outfits were cute, the dancers were amazing and Gwen kicked so much ass. I love her voice. I danced insanely and sang every word. I told the girl sitting next to me "I apologize in advance - I will be dancing and probably will hit you a lot" She was cool with it.
Chrissy and I have such a great time. I stood on my chair to sing BANANAS.
We had SO MUCH FUN!
Then we waited outside. It wasn't that chilly at all. I talked to security guys bu they were quiet and stubborn. I told them who I was but they didn't get it ;-)
Then I met one of the incredible backup dancers. I flirted my ass off trying to get him to take me backstage. Instead I got an email address and an invite to go home with me. I did and I think I'm pregnant. ...or I denied him- I want Gwen not him..
Then, after and hour, Gwen came out:) She is tiny and so pretty. I shoved everyone, some fought back but then I showed them that I get my way. I got an autograph on a piece of paper and my hand. I shouted that it was my 21st birthday and she said "Happy Birthday" Yeah, were BFF.
It was so amazing to meet her. This was the person that I had related to and have been inspired by for years. Seeing her also reminded me of how much I want to build a career that I am passionate about the way she has. I'm have so much post-excitement right now. Heheeeee.
I am so glad I brought Chrissy. We had such a blast. She tried to take pics but the crowd was rough.
