Xin Nian Hao!!
I made Xiao Kou Zao for Chinese New Year tomorrow. They're so yummy x333 We're having a party in class.
This is the first time I've ever made them so they're clearly not perfect.
Xiao Kou Zao are Deep-Fried Sesame Balls. They're commonly eaten on the Chinese Lunar New Year. They symbolize happiness because the cracks in the cooked dough look like smiles. They also symbolize wealth because they slightly resemble gold coins stacked on a plate.
