[he sounds a bit nauseated, but since arriving here, he's been perpetually ill]

Th-This isn't funny.

... Does... No, there- Well, it isn't any... stranger than some of the other phone calls I've received, I suppose.

'Gokudera'... huh? Does... Is he okay? Does anyone know if he's- There's got to be a reason behind this! Because... There ( Read more... )

I guess that means these devices don't usually pull that kind of stuff, huh? Damn weird things. Where's the cord, anyway?

Don't know him, but I agree; there really aren't any coincidences, especially in places like this. [Pause.] ... You okay?

(ooc; strikes = mumbled under her breath.)

I don't think so. At least, it doesn't seem like something it would do.

There is no such thing as coincidence... Anywhere really. Everything's hitsuzen. [stops and laughs it off cough] I'm okay. The atmosphere doesn't really... promote health, I guess.

Hm. I've never seen phones like these before, so it looks like your guess's as good as mine.

Hitsuzen? [And another, somewhat longer pause.] ... Atmosphere, huh? I guess. It's... a bit more draining, isn't it?

I've seen them. I... just don't use something so high-tech often.

I guess the best translation would be 'inevitable'? [because CLAMP never gave us a good translation 9_9 ] ... Heavy. Foul, maybe.

Yeah. Same here. Never needed to, though I guess they'd have been handy in certain situations.

... Hm. If it's everything, wonder if that goes for everywhere, too. [Eeeh, works on this end. o/ Either way it's got the mage a'thinkin'.] ...... Is that how it feels for you?

...

I wouldn't be surprised. Everything happens for a reason... [pause, he doesn't like talking about ittttt] Just... Like it's harder to walk around or do anything normally.

[She doesn't reply to that first part for now. Mostly because she's not sure if she could do so without some kind of bitter snap. So for now, s-sorry, but she's going to focus on the other subject briefly.] Strange... The worst I've had to deal with is being forced to sleep more often. [Another pause, before continuing slowly,] Back home, I could stay up for seven days straight like it was nothing, but here... Hardly even half that. Maybe this place affects different people in different ways...

... Are you staying with someone, if you don't mind me asking? [If he's in that condition, she wants to make sure he's got someone to keep an eye on him.]

[honestly, he's surprised he's coherent. Considering the last time something was this bad...] I guess... it varies. Some people act like nothing's changed at all. So... like the different worlds, different people react differently.

[long pause] Yea. I am. He's from my world, so... It's not that bad. [half-heartedly] Even though I can't stand that guy's face and attitude. Just looking at him makes me mad!

... If there's anything that could be said for sure, it'd be that being from different worlds likely has something to do with it.

... Good. Rather, you'll always have someone like that at some point. Just be happy you're not bitter enemies. ... You're not, right?

... Just don't kill each other, then.

Hey. About that "hitsuzen" thing... Just how... much of, or how big of, whatever, a reason does it take? Does it even need to be that big of a reason, or could it just be something small and stupid?

[... mutter]

I don't know. It's just that, if something needs to happen, eventually all your choices will lead up to that final point. Or something like that. Haruka-san or Yuuko-san would be able to explain this better, honestly.

... [Coldly,] If not out of the goodness of your heart, then do so because two people stand a better chance against this place than one.

[And another pause, a bit longer this time. Damn, the urge to be a bitch about this is high.] I see. Then what about if something doesn't need to happen? Any ideas?

[please don't mind him, he has appearances to keep] it's a matter of principle, Megu-san.

I've always wondered about that sort of thing myself, but last time I questioned my employer, she restarted my tab.

[Small, irritated noise, which, if this makes any sense, she seems to cut herself off in the middle of.] ... You're Japanese?

... So it's possible that it doesn't apply to things that didn't need to happen?

Mhmm.

Well, it might have something to do with changing your character to advance to that point in time. Like I said, Asking Yuuko-san these sorts of questions always means I have to work... harder. in ridiculous get ups sometimes... Or doing ridiculous tasks. [mumble mumble cough]
