A Decade + 2 Years Later
A lot has happened since I last wrote an entry here but not a lot appears to have changed. I still live in the same house with the same people and I still work at the same job, though my job title has changed slightly. My mom had a heart attack and stroke around 2014? My sister has two kids now and lives in Prescott. My brother and dad both recently moved to Tallahassee. I started running in 2012 but haven’t been doing it as regularly recently because it’s a lot of effort and I’ve had a tough time motivating myself. My big boss retired in 2019, shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, and the new boss is terrible at communicating with her staff and apparently at filling all the vacancies we have. That’s been a huge source of stress for me. Alana is always telling me “you can only do what you can do” so I tell her to keep telling me that because I am a perfectionist and like to feel like I’m doing a good job but my best isn’t going to be enough if they don’t hire more people. We shall see. People say they have trouble saving stuff on here, or losing long entries, so I’ll keep it short. Welcome to 2022.
