Labor day.....
Well I have had my fix of hurricanes for the year! Ivan can stay far far away now. The excitement is now over. I was getting sick of preparing for everything and then nothing happening. I like nothing happening better now! We lost 3 trees in our yard. One was actually from our neighbors yard, it crashed over our fence but didnt damage it. The other was a smaller but really pretty tree we had planted in our front yard. The 3rd was a HUGE tree in our front yard. A big branch snapped off last night. We heard it crack a bunch and then fall. Then we got a huge gust about 12:00pm today and another huge branch fell the other way. It was a mess. Everyone from our street came out with 3 chain saws total and took it down. Our next door neighbor lost a huge tree too and it just barely scraped his roof. Then the person across the street lost 3 trees (the same as our smaller planted one) in his front yard. Everyone cut everything down today for yard trash tomorrow. Our street looks destroyed with all the debris at the street! And our porch ceiling is leaking too. Fun Fun. So yea...ive had my fun with storms. Im just glad nothing worse happened. Lets just hope this next storm doesnt come near us. Im really happy we have power too! We lost it at 8:30 last night and got it back at 1 am. So we did really good. My grandparents are still here though. And they will prolly be back for the 3rd time next week!!! They dont have power again. For charley they were out for 4 days. So it might be a while. Oh well...how did everyone else manage????
