How's everyone doing? I hope all is well with ya'll and I hope that everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving, because I sure did. My weekend was spent in Interlaken, Switzerland!!! I arrived with 45 other kids from my program and a few staff members and stayed at one of Europe's famous hostel called Balmers. The hostel rocked because it had a restaurant and a huge fireplace with comfy chairs. I LOVE SWITZERLAND, by the way. It was just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo beautiful there, I can't even describe it. The mountains and the trees and... it's just awesome to see snow fall, ya know? There is nothing like seeing snow fall. I'm excited because it was my first time seeing snow fall, and really only my second time seeing REAL snow.
I didn't ski or go snowboarding because the only slope open was an intermediate slope and I was not about to attempt that. It was mostly a weekend of hanging around and meeting new people. I met so many people from different places all around the world. Oh, and THANKSGIVING was great. The hostel decorated the place beautifully, all the tables had center pieces and turkey pictures and candles and everyone dressed up. It was really, truly nice. The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was turkey and stuffing and even apple pie. Yummy!!! After dinner we all proceeded down to the bar/club, which is conveniently located on the basement floor of the hostel. Spent a lot of time down there, some really long nights. It was fun because you knew everyone and there was no drama. I mainly danced with Eric and Heidi, who are my two favorite people on this trip. Without the two of them, I would be downcast. Thank God for Heidi and Eric.
Alright, so you guys know how scared of heights I am, right? Well, you won't believe what I did. No no, I did not go sky diving or canyon jumping but I did go...... PARAGLIDING! Yup, I went paragliding over the Swiss Alps. It was amazing, I was so freaked out on the ride up to the mountain, I thought I was going to pee my pants( luckily I didn't,) but seriously it was so cool. The scariest part is running off the mountain. Can you guys believe I went running off a mountain 2,000 feet up in the air?!?!?
To sum it up, I had a blast in Switzerland. I really want to go back some day and explore the mountains more. More happened but what happens in Switzerland stays in Switzerland...
Heidi and I on about to have our Thanksgiving dinner in our hostel.
This is me and my best buddy Eric, we felt bad for that poor cow. Isn't he cold?
This is part of my group, chillin' in Interlaken, and about to start a HUGE snowball fight.
This was all of us in the middle of the snowball fight.
This is me getting strapped into my paragliding gear, that's Miki who controlled my flight through the Alps. I was freaking out!!!!
I took this picture right as Miki and I ran off the mountain, we are soaring through the ski!!! It's just beautiful!!!
These are my feet as I'm flying, I think it's a cool picture. The sad news is my camera's batteries died right after I took this picture, but not to worry cause Miki took a bunch of photos with his camera for a small cost.
Aaahhhhh, yes. Great times. We are getting down and funky with Eric in the club. It was probably about 2AM. Way too much fun.
Okay, here is a good picture of the famous threesome. Hopefully this will redeem the last picture.
