I would like to clarify something. I am not against the way NHS reviews character or extra-curricular activities. I know it isn't always fair, and yes maybe they should tell you, but those qualifications are honorable qualifications. I know I would be in NHS if I would have made the grade cut, which is the part I am complaining about. That academics kids with 93 GPAs get into NHS before me who has 91.6 GPA and has taken 4 honors classes in 9th grade, 4 honors classes in 10th grade, and 2 honors classes and 2 APs in 11th grade. I won't mention 12th because they do not even take that into account.

I would also like to add these points to my argument...

1. The class before ours was the first class to take all Honors Classes through ninth grade. How long has the honor society qualifications remained top 80 and 92%? Probably a lot longer than all honors classes have been implemented. Thus, it is time for a reform when the curriculm is reformed.

2. The National Standard for NHS are a minimum 3.0 GPA. However, the school district is allowed to change it as they see fit to make it a more distinct and rewarding club. Now, our school district has changed it to involve rank. However, the way they do the rank allows people in who did not take hard classes while leaving out the people who did the more honorable thing and stepped up and took Honors classes.
