Today my sister became Mrs Christopher Grossi!  I have to say the weather did scare me a little but I was super prepared with large golf umbrella'a, whos the best MOH?  That would be me.  Here is the recap of our day.

Well last night was the Rehersal Dinner with 40 people!  I know I only knew about 10-12 of them.  At the Rehersal Dinner my sister gave Chris his first wedding gift, a Groom's Cake in the shape o Fenway Park (where they had their first date).  He gave her a new camera.  The this moring we went to get our hair done and then have breakfast.  They got married at Brown University in Providence.  The ceremony was in Manning Chapel.  An beautiful old historic building on campus.  The wedding was so beautiful.  My sister was sooo beautiful and just glowing!  After the wedding my sister gave him his second wedding gift.  Chis is a Brown University graduate and while he was their he spend 4 years in the Marching Band (They even have a verse about him in their traveling song!).  My sister hired them to march up to the chapel while everyone was outside and play a few songs.  They played Chris's favorite song.  Then she had thme play a song for my niece Becca and there was even a song for me and my sister.  My father passed away and his favorite song was "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers, they even played it at his funeral in memory of him.  My sister had them play it because she knew it would mean a lot to me and her.  I had no idea and we both began to cry.  They played 5 or 6 songs one being the Brown University Fight Song and all his friends who he went to college with sang along.  It was awesome!  Then everyone stood on the historic front steps of the chapel and had a group picture of everyone!  Then we walked over to the reception which was 1 block away.  This was great for all the out of town guests.  We had cocktails from 3:30-4:30 and then we had dinner.  The DJ was told that I was not giving a speech but I guess he forgot because he said "Now we will hear from the best man and maid of honor!"  I said "What?"  So I made up a speech off the top of my head.  It wasn't that bad.  Good thing I am a ham!  My sisters last gift to Chris was a picture.  Her friend is an artist (she does a lot of work for Scholastic Books).  She took picture that we took of Melanie in her dress and then took pictures of Manning Hall and drew a picture of Melanie.  It was amazing.  It is for his office not the classic picture something different.  Chris loved it.  He said to a guest that was looking at the picture that was displayed  "There is a picture of my beautiful wife" I almost cried.  Everyone danced and ate.  Even my mother danced!  Then they left and shortly after we left too.  Chris's last gift to my sister was the best gift.  When they began to date( they met on a dating website) they emailed back and forth.  My sister saved those emails on her computer.  But about 6 months ago her hard drive crashed.  She cried she thought all the email were gone, and they were.  Well little did she know that Chris had also saved ALL their emails!  He had them printed and bound into a book.  How sweet is that?  He is such a good guy.  All in all I have to say one of the best wedding I have been to yet!  Pictures to follow soon!  But feel free to check out their wedding website www.grossi.org/wedding
