Ok so every year with my students I make a big deal about St. Patricks's Day. I love St. Patrick's Day, not sure why but I do!!! Well every year I mage Irish Soda Bread and they never eat it but they do try it, I make them (I know I hear Teacher of the Year votes already). Then every year the leprechaun comes to the school and turns the milk green, sneeky little guy. Then when we are outside he comes into our classroom turns off the lights and leaves foot prints and gold coins which when they touch the ground turn into candy!! And they buy it, they buy it all! So this year we do not serve them milk to we had water at snack. I did not mention that the leprechaun turns water I said milk they never saw it coming. I began to pour the milk and Liam was holding the cup. He looks at the cup and then looks at me with this "Oh, my goodness face". He says to me to excited to speak "Miss Brandie he did it he turned the water green!" I said "Oh my goodness that fresh leprechaun!". Not expecting anything until after we come in I told them I made lemon jello because I LOVE lemon jello and wanted to share some with them. I really made green apple jello. I am not lying to them I am sprinkling magic, creating imagination, right? Ok so I am at Liam again and I open the lid and turn to him and say Liam look. He says to me and I quote "That damn leprechaun did it AGAIN!". I looked at him and said that we don't use those type of works but he did do it again. I mean come on bad choice of words but kinda funny. Then we went outside and the leprechaun came again and sprinkled coins and left his foot prints all around and then the children came in I said "I left the light on why is it off?" They were so excited. They came in and saw all the stuff. Natalie said to me "Miss Brandie that fresh leprechaun came and made a mess, look at those foot prints, you hate messes!" I said I do hate messes and I will have to look out for the leprechaun for the rest of the day I wanted to have a work with him! I love St Patty's Day with the children!
