while using the bathroom each day multiple times... i was starting to notice more and more the peeling wallpaper. very irratated i spoke to my gma about it... surprisingly she didn't say much so i went to the garage, got the puty knife, sponge and a bucket of water and began the task of removing the horrid 80s wallpaper. needless to say, the bathroom now looks 111% better, even with unfinished walls showing. but on top of the painting task, i had to pull down the OLD cheap ass lighting which is being tossed out for newer, less annoying lights... along with taking down the popcorn on the ceiling, possibly installing new cabinets (my formica ones are crappy looking), recaulking EVERYTHING, maybe a new facet, and the scariest task... the HUGE mirror above the cabinets that i'm still not sure of what to do with just yet.
and this project will be completed (hopefully) this summer by the one and only.... rachel =) i know it's a huge task altogether.. but what can i say? i grew up watching this old house AND i've found home improvement (even with it's occassional problems) is quite relaxing/fun. and thankfully not that hard... just a matter of using the brain and making sure i don't fuck up big time
cabinets- $550
facet- $160
paint/supplies- $60
new counter- $200
.... i need to win the lottery because there are 3 bathrooms and a kitchen with wallpaper that needs to be destroyed!!
