Laugh bright and loud
In moments of joy,
In moments not of joy;
Laugh with eyes crinkled;
Laugh with teeth showing,
Mouth stretched and lips upturned;
Laugh until breathless
Echoing in the open air;
Laugh for we have no time to cry.
Cry out, tears streaming
In moments they are needed,
In moments they are not;
Cry with nose sniffling;
Eyes stinging with tears,
Mouth open, gasping for air;
Cry until breathless
Echoing in the open air;
Cry for laughter no longer rings.
