Never A Lie

I cannot promise you the ocean, the moon, the stars.
I cannot promise the mountains, the clouds, the sun.
But I can promise warm kisses on cold stormy days,
And I can promise to try make your tears go away.
I cannot promise to tell you everything that I am,
But the truth will be yours, no lie to be heard.
From my lips, I will tell you all but never a lie.
