If you think something I say is bullshit, and I've left the post open for comment, I want to hear that in the comments. Alternately, if you agree or sympathize, I want to know that too. That is pretty much the point of my journal. If I don't want feedback, I turn off comments. (I know, right? Silly me, using the tools available to me in a logical way.)
I don't think you get to consider yourself an honest person if you think failing to be honest is a skill worth learning.
People are nothing if not good at rationalizing. If I think you are rationalizing bad behavior as something good or trying to weasel out of taking personal responsibility for something you did, I'm going to say something. I expect and want you to do the same for me. And if that's a problem, you might be wasting your time talking to me. Feel free to jump ship now.
