Righto
So I was on the bus yesterday, on Broadway, and there were these 2 guys on it as well. There were actually a lot more than 2 people on the bus but since my story concerns these two guys you can just pretend the others weren't there. Oh and for those of you who want to know - no they weren't at all frapps, unfortunately. Anyways so as I was sitting on the bus these two guys were talking about stuff, and I, of course, was shamelessly eavesdropping on them. Unfortuantely because the bus is so freaking loud I missed a lot of what they said. But what I did catch was super cool in a sort of geeky way.
Basically these two guys had a group of people who fought. A lot. Like as a sport/activity. Now you might be thinking 'Big deal!' but wait. For these two guys fought with swords and daggers and axes and armour and the like. Like more authentic than fencing but not quite at the 'let's kill each other' authenticity. One of them was saying that when the other had enought money, he should go to an armourer and get him to make some real Roman armour with bronze etchings. For some reason he was really big on the bronze etching.....
And the other guy was talking about how he didn't want a dagger, which the first guy didnt' agree with, and was also saying how he would thinking it would be really hard to fight on your knees with a sword against a standing guy with an axe. (ax? axe? whatever). To this I thought "no shit..." but oh well... And apparently there's rules for this type of thing as they were discussing which they should use ' the emp or the sa?' Something like that I'm not sure if I got the right abbreviations.
So that was my exciting bus story for the week.
