Given the Odin stuff we had going on, and given the stories of Raven from the American west, I really shouldn't have been surprised either. It was very fun. Later on, Beth ducked into a woodsy area and got to hear and see a second raven (or the same, we don't know) and that was especially neat for her.
I haven't actually had any experience with the Dioskouri as yet. My interest in the human ties to the sea comes about because of my interest in Poseidon and not the other way around. More general, not-human-specific stuff catches my interest more than the human stuff does. I've only within the last few years started looking at sea legends and myths as part of my knowing Poseidon, and it's sort of a forced thing that I want to have done without wanting to do it. I'm really not all that big on the human aspect of things, a lot.

Neat entry, and Raven showing up doesn't surprise me. Hehe.
Have you ever had any experience with the Dioskouroi, given that they were patrons of sailors? Just curious.
