Not totally great about it yet, but I did have one of the kiosks freeze and need to be rebooted. Happily there is no crazy, jerry-rigged way of having to power down the corresponding printer when rebooting the kiosk, like there in Philly. (yay for correctly hooked up machinery!) It was especially silly. I can find my way around a computer, I understand windows-based systems, I have over three years experience working in the photo lab at the old store, I've got actual dark room experience, so even though I never come into contact with any of the chemicals, I have a working understanding of what they are, what they do, etc. And, I'm free to hop around doing various tasks on the sales floor when it's not busy -- and today wasn't busy. I even had to call a customer (omgphoneanxiety!) because the roll he dropped off was a special B&W film, and while we can print black and white photos, we can't actually process the physical black and white negative. Happy that I caught that in time, less happy that he left us a long distance number that we can't call from the store. D'oh!
Still, I've got a migraine from the stress, and that may happen for the rest of the week. Yay stupid stress!
panic,
