Laure brought home a bottle of Ryan's Irish Cream (because I just don't *like* Bailey's, which is fine since Ryan's is way more affordable, the way we go through it) and tonight we will get tooted. Have been driving myself sick all day, plotting the ways I would take care of people who would try to do that with one of my animals. We will snuggle Corbie J. and any cat that happens by and be drunk.
Today I failed at my quest to turn vegetarian. I'm not taking it too seriously right now, because my will-power is mostly tapped into forgoing soda (Lipton White Tea with Tangerine is my new diet Pepsi.) I desperately wanted juice this morning but everything comes in plastic, and I'm trying to really cut that back too. Sometimes it's unavoidable (and why must all the veggie meat substitutes come in plastic? I *like* some tofu, damn it. *pout*
It's tradition on truck for one of my co-worker's husband to bring us breakfast from McDonald's, and it's one of those deals where he gets the same thing all the time. Which means I generally get a sausage McGriddle, and I give the sausage away because I don't like sausage anyway. We're in need of grocery shopping (and better forethought) so I knew I'd be eating that today. For lunch I was gonna come home and eat a veggie "chicken" sandwich. On the way home, my coworker who gives me a ride home on Thursday drove by McDonald's. I was gonna get fries to go with the sammich. And then she ordered a quarter pounder. And so I did, too.
If you've been reading here for a while, you know how I feel about junk food. I stay off the binges by not buy it. Because I *love* McDonald's food. Isn't that icky?
Trying to not beat myself up over it *too* much, but Laure isn't helping. ;o)
Dinner was crunchy veggie wraps with avocado and cream cheese and mixed potato and sweet potato home fries. I love Laure's menus.
We've switched the animals over to Goodlife Recipes (if anyone knows any bad stuff about them, lemme know? I haven't been able to dig anything up). We did it gradually this time, and it's not going too poorly with the cats, though Luna and Val seem more sensitive to the change. Luna's coat also is looking a wee bit lackluster, so I'm thinking we may need to try something else. The dogs love the food, and it's better than Kibble, but Corbie is getting some loose skin that isn't quite fat, and he's not losing weight, so I wonder if it's not the best choice for him.
I dropped two totes on my infected toe and kicked a pallet on accident with it. I screamed a lot at work today. There was much swearing. And a little bit of crying. But the toe is still improving. Yay! Stupid toe.
I can't wait to get paid again. *lol*
