To be totally morbid, today I'm grateful that feline distemper is such a fast killer. Reading the signs of the disease, we have to wonder if that's what killed Bella. :( We don't even know for sure that it's distemper, but it's extremely likely. For some reason we weren't even thinking about distemper when we brought these guys in, but we were thinking about feline leukemia, so we were very careful about stuff, as our babies aren't yet fully vaccinated against the leukemia. So far, the other two babies aren't showing signs of being sick at all, beyond the spokesperson's sneezing. They're eating and running around. Scampering, really. And our guys all look good, as well. If we make it through the week, we'll be happy as clams. A nasty, horrible disease, but at least it's a fast killer?
I'm grateful, too, that I made it through the weekend. And that feline distemper isn't transmittable to dogs.
