(no subject)
Hello, Livejournal! Haven't updated in a while, but trying to get back into it. Mostly been on Twitter and Facebook. Timesucks, all of them! Also been promoted to Moderator over on http://canterlot.com ! I'm such a brony. :)
I also picked up Portal 2 and Dead Space 2. Portal 2 was a blast, and a hoot and left me hungry for more, but like Portal 1 just felt a little too short! I was expecting more and harder puzzles! Lots of flinging, though. But the game was beautiful and ran seamlessly fluid.
Remember that problem with Dead Space where it would constantly just randomly reset the video driver for no reason, resulting in black screens and halted gameplay? They were supposedly fixedin DS2. NOPE. They're still here and they're even WORSE. With DS1, I might get it once or twice an hour, but with DS2, I get about 30 seconds of play (which does look awesome and gorgeous, by the way) and then *bip*, black screen, driver resets, and I have to wait another 20 seconds to resume play. Updated video driver does NOTHING to enhance stability. I'm disappointed because in what I have seen, the game is beautiful, and when it runs, it runs great! Except for this video driver resetting issue. Dead Space 1 and 2 are the ONLY games I have out of a large number that do this, so I know it's the games themselves, not my machine. Even Amnesia works awesomely with my machine. I so love Dead Space, but this plaguing problem has really just made me a sad panda.
