Step 1 to Chapter 128 has been filed and paid for, now I just have to wait for the judgement and final actual balance so I can finally get this gorilla off my back. I'm tired of being screwed byt this creditor, this thing has gone on for over 12 years now, it will be finished in 36 months. And I am much pleased for it. Chapter 128 is a State of Wisconsin non-bankruptcy option for the amortization and solution of a debt. Interest is arrested and harassment is considered contempt of court. I will have paid a grand total of over $20,000 to these people for a $10,000 car because of interest and scheisty calculation, and I'm sick and tired of it. But at least it will have been paid off and my credit rating will reflect it positively. And unlike a chapter 7 or 13, chapter 128 does not show on my credit report nor does it affect me negatively. By arresting the interest, my debt will be guaranteed paid off in 36 months, which is about a year longer that I had initially anticipated, but far shorter than the creditor had been trying to get me to pay.
