Finally seen every episode out so far.
I really can't wait to see The White Lotus in animated action, seriously. Find out who the members are. (Momo *winkwink*)
Also, I'm working on a fancomic that I'll post here since nobody really seems to be responding to the other journal. lol
Went to see it with fweinds yesterday.
Okay, so Tony Stark has been imprisoned for three months in a terrorist colony, he just wants a cheeseburger. =(
Tony Stark is hot.The movie was awesome. XD He looks like such a girl when he flies at first. Now to go to listen to the music again...
Oh, and don't you think that the bald fat guy so has it in for Tony? lmao
The movie gives me an idea that I will sketch out some time.
Got it out of the library yesterday and I've read up to page 12. I'll give it a review when I'm finished with it. But first, a rant:
First off, I'm reading this book not because I want to, but because my friends have been on my fucking balls about how good this book really is and that my loathing for the two main characters come out of the fact that I 'haven't read it'. "You have to read it", you whisper behind my back. Well I'm giving up hours of my life just to read the rotten apple, so shut up and let me judge it based on the excerpts I've read and reread again.
I'm easy to amuse but a book needs good characters to be a good book itself. The characters need to be promising from the word 'Go' or else how do you think you're going to make a person slave over your precious series, by nailing their heads to the page? Get a life.
Second off, Stephanie Meyer HAS NOT GOT IT DOWN WITH HER GRAMMAR. Why must I stress this fact?! Good book writers like Phillip Pullman or Terry Pratchett use sentences that one may not get at first, but really appreciate once they do get it. Meyer hasn't done this in the 12 pages I've read so far, there have been many moments where I've paused and uttered the word "Whaaaat?". Especially with "The Sunny Town of Phoenix" thing, how fucking generic can you really get?
So Bella is this spoilt brat who moves to this shitty small town upon her own choice, has a sense of humour you could just cringe at and takes pity in an uptight bully-vampire with beautiful erections. Believe me, if a person is selfish, I would know, not to blow my own trumpet*.
You may think I'm a bitch for already loathing Twilight without reading every single last grain of the book and getting into the Harry Potter fandom, but at least Harry Potter has substance, a nice world to get into, tolerable (to an extent in the case of Harry)main characters. You can't just judge a seemingly crappy ending compared to the rest of the series beforehand. Trust me, before I read Harry Potter I thought it was a load of rubbish as well. But once I saw what the plot was really all about (and turned 11), I got into it straight away.
Finally, it's a book, stop getting on my case for it. If somebody insulted Harry Potter or any other fandom I was in, I wouldn't cry about it and start pulling eyelids and sticking out tongues like a 5 year old. It's fiction and it's not worth it.
I do like the fact that the book has a good plot, but it's going to get screwed up for me, trust me...
Also, thinking I'm trying to asskiss
buttfacemakani by doing this is absurd, I'm just showing that I do have a mind of my own when it comes to badly executed fiction. The whole situation with Makani was just a trigger for it all. The select few of those lulzy fans who judged her as a person for her hatred of a book proved how immature some fanatics really are. I was amused at just how badly one or two Twilight's fans reacted to a little skit of their beloved book, so did you really expect me to approach a book with two perfectly insulting and sickening characters taking the mains with open arms?
I still lub you, just get off my case about the damn book (especially when I've agreed to read it all), it's annoying.
*: Expression is used in school by some teachers. It cracks me up and now I'm using it until I can find a better expression.
To Friends: Plz don't hate me, I lub u, I'm just letting off some steam about it all. XP
