He lost it sometime after the first ball. Maybe something hit him there?

...I would have thought his strawberry head could resist more than that. He's endured enough reiatsu loss to destroy many lesser spirits, so this is bizarre.

And irritating.

I'm not positive. Ichigo's reiatsu is different. He's not an ordinary Shinigami.
