4 more days...

I posted this entry in my multiply website, thinking that it will automatically update here in livejournal. I had a few technical difficulties last week so I wasn't able to update my lj at all:

It has been already one week since I've got my laptop and another week to go with training.

There is a big sense of accomplishment on my part, since I was able to buy a laptop with my own money, este i mean credit card. I've always wanted to have a laptop for years, but relied on my desktops since they are more affordable. Nevertheless, I've got one, so I've been Internet-happy for the last 6 days. Keeping myself updated with my tv shows and chatting with my friends. With the new Windows Vista though, I still could not figure out how to set the configuration so that I can open livejournal or use the ym. But all is well. :) Although I am considering myself broke for the months to follow, until I can pay my credit card in full. :)

One more week in training, one more week before I travel the world. My "supy" flights, where it is considered as introductory flights in Emirates, and we travel as observers first, will be on May 27 and 28. Both of them will be turnarounds, and I will be travelling to Alexandria and Cairo in Egypt. Sad to say, the most I can see of the country will extend until the runway and maybe the airport. Hopefully, I get to see the Pyramids when I have the cash soon! :)

I will know my roster for June on May 26. I am really hoping my first layover will be somewhere in Europe, particularly in Athens, Rome, Nice or Milan. :) I can't wait to start camwhoring with my new camera, a Canon Powershot A630, and start practicing in my photography. Ever since back in college, I have always wanted to pursue this. This was one of the reasons why I decided to pursue Emirates, to practice my skills. :) How ironic it is, that after just a couple of weeks here, I read an article of a former crew who did just that and already has her own studio here in Dubai! One of these days, when I have the guts to text her, I will tell her how I plan to follow in her footsteps and be just like her. :)

My interview with the U.S. embassy for the cabin crew visa is scheduled on June 12. I sure hope I get this. It will be nice to go to the U.S. once in awhile since I have always enjoyed my visits there. On December, Emirates will launch its first flight to Houston, Texas. And oh, I forgot to mention that we will have flights to San Paulo, Brazil by the first week of November. :)

I have just posted more pictures here, featuring my cute bathroom and my pretty, pretty batchmates. :)
