(no subject)
Been a damn long time since I've posted here... Anyways, I'm FINALLY going to have my surgery taken care of. Kidney removal on Nov. 18th at St. Vincent in LA. This'll be a big weight off of my shouldeders. The loss of one ugly pound too. heh. It's been frustrating me for too long. If all goes well (which it should), I should be in fairly good spirits for Thanksgiving.
I went to Santa Barbara again this year for Halloween. There were some crazy mishaps but in the end they were corrected. Edgar somehow lost his keys and wallet. At the time, we had figured they were stolen (as there were LOADS of people there). The next morning though, we got a call from someone who found the wallet. Nice to know there are still honest people out there.
The weather was real nice there, too. A little chilly at night, but nothing I'm not used to. The beach there kind of reminds me of parts of the Oregon coast. Real pretty. We sat down by the beach for a while and soaked in the atmosphere. Was real nice. A good break from the hordes of people on the campus that night.
In other news, I've quit smoking. It doesn't really do anything for me these days. I hardly drink now either. More than two or three drinks make me kind of nausious. All for the best though, with my kidney coming out soon.
