So on friday I had a CT scan done on my kidney. I had to drink barrium(sp?). To anyone who doesn't know what the stuff is, it's basically dye that makes your insides glow so they're easier to see on the CT scan. It didn't taste as bad as first time (or least to my rememberence), but was still not an enjoyable taste... This time is was annoying though. I had to split it into four equal portions and drink them in half-hour intervals, while making each last the whole half-hour. So I had to take these small ass sips of this chalky crap.. yay! Anyways, after starting the CT scan, they suddenly stopped after what I believed to be 2 pictures (I'm not exactly sure how it all works out). The nurse told me the computer was starting to glitch up so they had to re-boot it. That took 20 minutes... Evidently the computer had further problems after the re-boot. So once they were up and running again, they continued. They got to a point where they had to inject what they called "contrast". Well in the proscess of putting the needle in my arm, the nurse punctured through both sides of the vain... Now I have a big bruise there. She got it right when she tried on the other arm though.. That "contrast" stuff is really weird. It made my head feel extremely warm and gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Those side-effects only lasted about 10 seconds though. She said those were common side effects though. So yeah.. that was an interesting afternoon at the lab.
The rest of my weekend was pretty good. Hung out with Edgar and some other friends (Gabrial and Delano), jammed a little, and had a belated St. Patrick's dinner on sunday with my parents.
Unfortunatly, Delano is moving to texas for a few months to stay with his brother. He'll be leaving in two weeks. I'll have to get to know him better once he comes back. Real cool guy. He's real down to earth and mellow.
Oh and reguarding the band. Gabrial might help us record our next song. Supposedly his dad has some pretty good recording equipment and software that he lets him use. Not sure exactly sure when that'll be but sometime soon. We still have to get the drums worked out and take care of a few small timing issues.
Anyways, that's it for now. Toodles.
