Here's Your Sign
I just got a new car, so I'm trying to sell my old one on my own. The old one has about 78,000 miles on it. A man from work expressed an interest in it, so I took it for him to look at yesterday.
As he was doing his inspection he looked me square in the eye and asked: "Are all those miles, like, traveling miles?"
"No, sugar. Have you ever seen the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off? We jacked it up in our garage and put a brick on the accelerator. Only we had the car in drive instead of reverse. We just wanted to run up the odometer."
"Here's your sign!"
Needless to say, he didn't buy the car.
