I realized today that, while I've been posting liberally to my book blog, I've scarcly touched this one. Whoops.
My doctor has me in physical therapy for my wrist (which is actually my shoulder. I have
thoracic outlet syndrome, which manifests in my wrist). It's going well, and my wrist has stopped hurting, but my shoulder hurts all the time now. The therapist says this is good--it's a sign that things are getting better, that the thing that's actually injured is hurting, but I do get sick of it from time to time. I also have an array of exercises to do every day, which probably look both bizarre and amusing to bystanders.
Also on the health front, we took Trudy to the vet today because she's been having lots of accidents on the house. I thought it might be her arthritis medicine, which I've read can cause kidney damage. The vet drew some blood, and will call with the results tomorrow. He also did a urinalysis in the office, which came back normal, so we don't think it's the kidneys. She did have an infection in her rear (ew), and the vet says she's lost six pounds in as many months (that's 10% of her total weight!), so he's going to run some more tests on her blood and see if he can figure out what is wrong. More on that later.
Will try to post more frequently!
