OOC: So, how am I doing?
As I write I just started writing in character on Ranulf. I think I got him nailed so far, like how it usually goes with wanting to start writing as new favorite characters from certain fandoms.
This Ranulf interpretation is for this EPIC multi-fandom story I'm writing with three other people, known as The Chaos Brought Forth. He's yanked out of the Path of Radiance plotline in which Ike and the rest of the Greil Mercenaries are somewhere in the middle of the lonnng fight and search for Prince Reyson in Serenes forest. He's somehow pulled into our world, and the thing is that the hu-beorc residents on Earth and those from other worlds (a number of them that have been most seen as fictitious) won't know WHY all of this is happening or how until the main villains start to reveal their secret to one of them. The main villains are the reptilians-a race of sentient beings who can shape shift to beorcs and back, plotting to enslave all of mankind. So, Ranulf among the many characters who get brought into our world for a time won't have a single clue about those nasty and evil reptoids until much later...after one to two of Earth's residents escape from reptilian captivity. In the meantime, he reunites with some old friends, and makes some new ones. One of my own characters, Marianne, is a replica of myself, but is not all too familiar with Fire Emblem as I am now, apart from Roy and Marth in Super Smash Bros. Melee. I just know it that they'll be such good friends, and to be in constant support of each other. (He'll grow to like some others too, from various games, anime, TV shows, movies, and books outside of Fire Emblem.)
Ranulf will also learn much about our world and discover how different and similar Tellius and Earth are.
That's basically how it all goes down on this interpretation.
I believe I got a good handle on Ranulf's persona, but what do you fellow RPers at fedressingroom think? Any improvements that need to be worked on? Please let me know, so I can get him ready when it's time to bring him into The Chaos Brought Forth. I mainly joined that community not only for fun, but for practice writing and inspiration gathering. I also have an Ike journal (ike_of_crimea), and that's going to be a part of FE Dressing Room as well.
I selected a HANDFUL of the FE: PoR cast, both beorc and laguz. Besides Ike and Ranulf, I've picked Mist, Leanne, Reyson, Tibarn, Janaff, Ulki, Muarim, Tormod, Titania, Oscar, Boyd, Naesala, Mordecai, and Lethe. Oh, and plus an OC Goldoan (dang it, I forget the name I came up for him), a GREEN dragon Goldoan guy. But OC's aren't allowed in FE Dressing Room. All but the Goldoan will be part of FE Dressing Room...
Anywhoo, let me know if I do a good Ranulf or not. I'm still a bit of a newb to FE, but I have a good feeling I'll get those handful of selected characters down just fine. Your honest opinions could help too.
